When You Come Home

When you come home
I get a rise
it’s like the time
That I first saw you

The day was rough
Enough to complain
I know the world
Can turn against you

When you come home
I can’t define
This love I find
Right there inside me

We sometimes roam
Inside our dome
We’re looking for
An old reminder

Before our kiss
The exchange of gifts
There was a game
And it was grander

But there was a hole
And it was wide
Now ties that bind
They make us stronger

When you come home
I get a rise
It’s like the time
That I first saw you

I have a greeting
For this good evening
I’ll take the meeting
Turn out the lights

When you come home
